 Welcome to the website of Kumbo Development and Orientation Centre, KUDOC. KUDOC is a non-governmental organization based in Kumbo municipality of Bui Division in the North West Province of Cameroon, Central Africa.
Kumbo Development and Orientation Center (KUDOC) was founded in 1999 and has authorization No. E26/Ps/118/208 after carefully analysis of plaguing problems encountered by local communities in Bui division. Regarding the fight against poverty, HIV/AIDS and environmental degradation, KUDOC sees education and training as the start point for success. It is in this light that we lay emphasis on the diagnosis of potentials of local communities and individuals in a bid to deliver the necessary services they need for capacity building and sustainable development. We have a high focus on women and the youth who are the vulnerable group in our communities.
The vision of KUDOC is to set up an NGO that has the capacity to mobilize the community in all aspects of development in Bui division. With this in mind, KUDOC intends to bring about community initiated and participatory sustainable development.
In 1999, a constituent Assembly was convened and the creation of KUDOC was its outcome. In February 2000, documents were forwarded to the Administration of the Bui Division for legalisations and authorization in conformity with Law No. 90/053 of December 1990 amended by Law No. 99/011 of July 1999 relating to the freedom of Association. This finally got approval and is registered under No. E26/Ps/118/208.
