KUDOC partnered with the Richard and Mary Ann Sleece Foundation - Williamsburg Virginia – USA, to Empower 60 GBV survivors with vocational skills in hairdressing, computer skills, sewing, event planning, and embroidery to create economic independence, fosters self-confidence, and breaks the cycle of violence. This empowerment is leading to better livelihoods, improved financial stability for survivors and their families, and fostering communities that promote gender equality by challenging harmful norms. The tools and training is providing survivors with the ability to generate income, make informed choices, and gain societal respect and ultimately contributing to a more just and equitable society.
